TURNERoundITALIA
On April 23, 2025, it will be exactly 250 years since the birth of British painter J.M.W. Turner. This milestone marks a quarter of a millennium since the birth of an artist who not only reflected his time, but also gave modernity a place in his work. Turner's landscapes, imbued with emotion and light, were revolutionary and forever changed the way nature was depicted in art. His travels, especially those to Italy, were a rich source of inspiration. On the same day, April 23, 2025, artist Quinten Torp will depart from the Emile Van Dorenmuseum in Genk (Belgium) for his TURNERoundITALIA journey. During this journey, he will follow in Turner's footsteps through Italy, with the aim of creating a new collection of paintings, sketches, watercolors and photographs. The project is a tribute to Turner's legacy and a search for the timeless beauty of the Italian landscapes. More news about this special journey will follow soon.
