With oil on canvas and panel, Quinten Torp testifies to a search for the relevance and aesthetics of 'the error'. Imperfections and coincidences of the medium play the main role in this quest. They determine the end result and form the raison d'être for the work.

Quinten Torp balances between communication and miscommunication, figuration and abstraction. Different layers, a dynamic brushstroke hide the origin of the work: portraits, landscapes ... or nothing.

Watching a work by Quinten Torp is like an off-road experience, not always obvious but all the more fascinating than driving on a flat road.
